South Korea clinch football bronze in Cardiff

SOUTH Korea's men overcame Japan 2-0 to clinch bronze in tonight's play-off at Cardiff's Millennium Stadium to claim the country's first ever Olympic football medal.

Arsenal striker Park Chu-Young and captain Koo Ja-Cheol scored as South Korea secured an historic win over their Japanese rivals.

Japan had a goal disallowed in the 87th minute, but South Korea clung on to ensure they took the medal.
