NEWPORT’S Stow Park Lawn Tennis Club members celebrated a year of success at their annual presentation evening.

Stow Park is one of the oldest tennis clubs in Wales and currently has 200 adults and 250 children playing throughout the year.

Head professionals Robin Daniels, Chris Lovett and their coaching team provide lessons for all ages and abilities.

With more than 20 adult and junior teams in Gwent, South Wales and regional leagues the club enjoyed a successful 2014.

The men’s first team won the Gwent League and cup double, while the men’s second team won ten out of ten matches in the South Wales League.

The Aegon ten and under team won their regional division, while the men’s Aegon team won the County Division Two league.

This year produced record levels of entries across all age and the presentation evening was a chance to showcase what the club’s players, aged from five to 75, have achieved over the past year.

The Mayor of Newport Matthew Evans, a long-time member of the club and past captain, presented the trophies and awards.

Young Player of the Year is Harri Lloyd-Evans, ranked third in Wales in his age-group.

The winners of the club tournament are as follows: under-7 – James Jones; Red Singles – Joey Curran; Orange Development – Evan Steer; Oranges Singles – Jamie Chard; Green Development – Ethan McCormick; Green Singles – Jamie Sims; under-12 boys singles – Steffan Owen; under-14 boys singles – Harri Lloyd-Evans; under-16 boys singles – Daniel Lougher; under-16 girls singles – Holly Dawe; men’s singles – Chris Lovett; over-35 men’s singles – Dino Alonzi; Red Doubles – Max Birchall / Ralph Churchil; Green Doubles – Dylan Chapman / Dragomir Nikolvic; under-14 boys doubles – Harri Lloyd- Evans / Aneurin Owen; under-16 boys doubles –Daniel Lougher / Huw Morris; men’s doubles – Chris lovett / James Lamplough; over-35 men’s doubles – Paul Lloyd Evans / Dave Gatehouse
