NEWPORT Gwent Dragons will be captained by Wales international Geraint Rhys Jones at the Singha Premiership 7s at BT Sport Cardiff Arms Park on Saturday afternoon.
The full-back is joined by fellow senior Dragons squad members Matthew Pewtner, Dorian Jones, and Ollie Griffiths and young prospects Harri Keddie, Owen Davies, Arwel Robson and Lloyd Lewis.
Luke Crocker, who has played for Wales on the European Sevens Grand Prix series this summer, features along with his Ebbw Vale teammate Owen Williams.
Newport’s Elliot Frewen and Jonny Lewis are selected after impressing in last year’s tournament.
The Dragons finished as runners-up in the Welsh leg last summer after being denied victory against the hosts following a controversial last-minute penalty try.
Nonetheless, they qualified for finals night at the Twickenham Stoop where, after beating Newcastle and Harlequins, they once again had to settle for second after being edged out by Gloucester.
