IN HIS Lliswerry grassroots column, Allan Morris mentions that former users of the closed Carnegie Library on Corporation Road have “a few issues and concerns” using Ringland Library.
May I remind them that Maindee Library, now run by volunteers, is open 10am to 5pm on Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays and 10am to 1pm on Saturdays.
There is a good selection of books and we will soon have IT equipment for general use.
There is also a Children’s Story Time. Light refreshments are available. We are always looking for more volunteers to join a rota. Just pop in.
At 5pm on Friday, December 4 the Christmas Lights will be switched on and everyone is invited for refreshments.
