MONMOUTHSHIRE-BASED sport clubs can apply for funding of up to £1,500 from the Sport Wales Community Chest fund.
Funding can be used to increase participation and raise the standards of clubs or projects and the application can be completed online and is an easy way to gain extra funds to help grass roots sport.
Cllr Bob Greenland, the cabinet member for leisure said: “I really hope that local sports clubs apply for the funding.
“Funding schemes such as this are essential in helping to support the wellbeing of residents now and in the future.”
Sports Development officer Paul Sullivan said: “We are happy to help any clubs or projects to complete the application form.
“The Community Chest Fund is so important for local clubs it can help get more children, young people and adults get hooked on sport.”
To apply visit the Sport Wales website sport.wales/funding--support/our-grants/community-chest.aspx and the application deadline is Wednesday,January 10, 2018.
