ONE wonders if Tom McCarthy has trouble with basic comprehension? I have given numerous examples of evolution, such as atavistic tails in humans to the evolution of tolerance in bacteria to the highly xenobiotic pesticide pentachlorophenol (PCP). I can also show how the bacterial flagellum isn’t actually an “irreducibly complex” system as claimed by biochemist Michael Behe (champion of the religious “intelligent design”/creationist movement).
Claims of scepticism about evolution are worthless without reliable evidence as a basis for the evidence. Claims for such evidence by the Discovery Institute have been repeatedly examined and dismissed by those who actually understand evolutionary biology.
