Racism is still a problem
12:41pm Friday 26th October 2012 in Letters
WE are in a society where racism is a problem. The powers that be seem to think it’s OK for someone to go to work and get abused. From footballers to people doing their everyday jobs, racism will never go away until something is done.
S Hamblin, Victoria Street, Cwmbran Time for action in town centre THERE is no doubt the closure of the Co-op store in Maindee is a blow. Local residents hope another retailer will move in. Nevertheless, during the recent elections the elected Labour councillors promised to revitalise the centre. With this announcement, perhaps we will see from the councillors more action and less self congratulatory online twittering? Jeff Evans, Duckpool Road, Newport

Racism is a completely normal part of life inspite of what the media et al say about it. It's a complete smokescreen that the rest of the world can see through. I was in Mombasa recently and you wouldn't believe the level of racism from the blacks! The Middle East ios exactly the same and as a woman in Saudi you really wouldn't believe it till you saw it!!!!!
Anyway, shouldn't you be in the kitchen?
