ON reading the shortlist of the final five sites, I note that the RSPCA animal shelter has not been taken into consideration.

The RSPCA is at present on a site on its own due to the noise levels. The dogs are very quiet at night due to the location, and should a traveller site be situated directly next to it, extreme stress to the animals would be caused and the travellers would also be disturbed at night due to continual barking and howling. At present the animals are walked every day and enjoy peaceful surroundings at night. The dogs can be very noisy at visiting and feeding times. The access is also very poor and busy due to two large schools sharing the narrow road, which has no lighting or pavements. The stress that would be caused to these animals would be unprecedented and a traveller site in this vicinity should not even be considered. There have been several other locations removed from the list for far fewer considerations than this and should be re-examined.
