Disappointed by Labour

AS THE chairman of Plaid Cymru, the party of Wales in Islwyn, you wouldn’t expect me to be sympathetic to the Labour Party, but I have to say I am as disappointed as I am angry with the Labour councillors on Caerphilly council for giving senior management huge pay rises. Not disappointed because I think they are incompetent, but because they must be naive. Labour councillors in Caerphilly must be out of touch with the feelings of the general public. An apology is one thing but let’s hope they improve soon, we have another four years of them in charge at Caerphilly council, it will feel like a long time if they don’t!

Mike Jackson, Chairman The party of Wales Islwyn

Why is the Plaid Cymru leader disappointed with Labour?..what did he expect from another Capitalist party, the immediate immancipation of the working classes?,its high time we dispensed of these petty bourgeois socialist councillors, they should be thankful being some of the few on a living wage for what they are supposed to do,where is the outrage of the shame of food banks?, where is the outrage at pointless wars costing £7 million per day?where is the outrage at the increasing homeless people in our communities?where is the outrage in the miserable inequalities in the distribution of wealth?they have sold their souls to the highest bidder, paying lip service to the very people who elected them, witness the petty tantrums from council leaders when powerful genuine forces oppose and challenge their narrow conservative stand on issues,it seems its only "democracy" when it suits themselves, the concentration of capital and land in a few hands, and the industrial wars of extermination between nations has been an absolute desaster, and its working class people being made to pay the price, the silence is deafening....
