Surgeon was a wonderful man

I WAS saddened to hear of the death in a Birmingham nursing home of Mr Alan W Fowler, who was for many years a surgeon at Bridgend General Hospital.
Some readers may have been treated by him. He was a personal friend. On his retirement, Alan gave his services, free, in Guyana until he was 70. He was a brilliant Bible student and wrote several books, including a fascinating one on Genesis 1 called A Drama of Creation. He was an expert on the theory of evolution, and was also adept at exposing its flaws, all of which was done in the most courteous manner.
