Don't spend on medieval ship

READING about the medieval ship, its the cost to the Newport people and the cuts to special needs and social services across the board, I am amazed at the decision to fund this upkeep of this ship when we all have to pay more for services and see street lights cut off early.

Can these friends of the ship and Transporter Bridge put their hands in their pockets and contribute to the upkeep of these tourist icons? And can you tell me what income these tourist attractions make? There are pensioners who can’t afford to heat their homes. They have made cuts and sacrifices. What is the cost in floodlighting this Transporter Bridge?

These attractions are a luxury we can’t afford. I would like a few luxuries but I can’t afford it so come on you councillors you have money in the bank. Give it to the people of Newport not to power suppliers and some timbers of a ship dug up from the river bank.
