THE local council elections turned out to be a disaster for both Labour and the Tories, with Labour only making two gains in controlling local councils and Tories losing control of ten councils. This shows people are not happy with David Cameron’s cuts and still don’t trust Ed Miliband. In Anglesey Plaid Cymru won 14 councillors, while Labour only won three seats. The people of the island seem very unhappy with the Tory London government and Labour’s Cardiff government. Could this be the beginning of a Plaid recovery.
UKIP are the smoking guns of politics. On their website the immigration policy is undergoing a review and update. The more their policies are debated, the more people will see the holes in them. Andrew Nutt, Heolddu Road, Bargoed
