DESPITE all the letters, complaints and protests concerning the disgraceful proposed pay award for the Labour-controlled Caerphilly council leader, the electorate of Risca East have voted in the Labour candidate by 200 votes. If Atilla the Hun stood for Labour in any election in that borough he would probably still be elected.
Does this give Labour a blank cheque to do what they want? Where does this lead Plaid Cymru if they cannot even muster second place after Labour upset so many people?
Perhaps somewhere between The Twilight Zone and the nowhere zone. Here endeth the debate on Labour pay awards.
