I AGREE with the paragraph that says young people should be encouraged to live in the city centre.
I have written on this subject before, about all the empty premises over shops, some of which have been empty for years. A good example is the mansion-type flats in Skinner Street. But this is the same throughout the UK. I cannot see where there is a housing shortage. Why aren’t the owners of these properties given incentives to let these flats? There must be many young people who would love to live in the city centre, a stone’s throw from the clubs etc.
