WAS any research done by Torfaen council regarding the usage of the Pontypool Active Living Centre (PALC) car park on a Sunday?

Who also took the decision to close the brand-new car park next to the PALC car park on a Sunday? I ask because on Sunday, May 19, the PALC car park was full and we had people illegally parking their cars and ‘four by fours’ on the pavements. So users of the PALC had to walk in the road. An obvious health and safety issue, especially when you have parents walking with toddlers to swimming class! It’s truly amazing that Torfaen council is not aware of the situation. Is there no communication between the management of the PALC and whoever is responsible for the closure of the council- run car park on a Sunday? This is basic common sense which the council seems to lack.
