THE Welsh Government has chosen to enact the appalling law of presumed consent for organ donation.
As an organisation it has never let the facts get in the way of a good story. The NHS Transplant Service in Wales for example is unable to cope with organs on the existing donor register due to the lack of investment by the Welsh Government.
The existing opt-in register will still need to be maintained as well as a new opt- out register. My body is not the property of the Welsh Government to dispose of as it thinks fit and I will be opting out as soon as possible.
