RECENTLY the Argus ran a competition to choose your favourite love song.
The winning song was to be included in a new album entitled This Guy’s in Love recorded by Mark Llewelyn Evans. The album launch was held last Wednesday at The Lyric Theatre, Carmarthen, a place very close to Mark’s heart.
The prize also included tickets for the concert. I didn’t win (shame) but I was going anyway. What a fabulous night it was. Mark sang all the tracks from the album and a couple more. He was ably supported by Rob Brydon, Sophie Evans and some really talented young musicians as well.
The winning Argus song was Have I told you lately that I love you which is track nine on the album. I don’t know whether Marilyn, the winner, was there, but if not she missed a fabulous evening.
Look out for the album which will be available shortly. It is fabulous.
