THE DESPOTIC prejudice of Terry Banfield is exhibited in his letter. He is prepared to quote judgemental verses, but not to examine why these judgements have to take place. He also refuses to acknowledge figurative language.
If he is going to quote from the Bible, then he must provide proof that he understands the Bible. We need to hear the whole story.
I notice that he never quotes 1 Corinthians 15 or the words of John 3:15,16. We need to know why judgement is necessary and what follows. In this respect he might try Psalm 72. The world is full of evil and violence and it is getting worse. Why? Science won’t tell us but Scripture will.
