PICKED up the Argus this morning to read “up to £50,000” would be donated to a new Chartists memorial.
Please stop this nonsense.
Donate it to cancer research or the baby care unit at the RGH, not to this! It’s partly my money too. I haven’t been asked. Over 2,000 people sign a petition crying outrage at the removal of the mural yet only 40 turned up at the memorial service? Sums it all up nicely for me. Never forget the past especially at this time of year, but let’s all look to the future and put as much effort in supporting that!
