A lack of info

WHEN in Aldi on Thursday with my disabled father, who uses a motorised wheelchair to get around, we were aproached by a lady. This lady was very kind enough to pass on information that, if ever my dad were to get stuck out and about, he’d be able to charge his chair in the railway station, at Newport City Homes and at the Information Station. This lady pointed out the council had not published this information to the public, which I think is disgusting.

Really, I bought a new car recently but do not expect the Council to publish a list of garages where I can fill up with petrol! Maybe if it runs out of power somebody at the Council would be good enough to come and push your father around for you. What a ridiculous letter.

@Cornwall1 how disrespectful can you be? make a joke about a disabled person why don't you? This is vital information for those who need it. If it doesn't apply to you, keep your mouth shut.

It is not about the disabled person but the ablebodied person who seems incapable of finding out information for themselves and expects the Council to do everything - get it right...

The last time I looked, garages had very large signs over the top of them advertising that they sell petrol. If your in a wheelchair and the battery dies, there are no such places with big signs on them to point you in the right direction. Maybe notices in the disabled toilets would help (or have they closed them in Newport, because they have in Tredegar).
