Nothing done

First published in Letters

I HAVE been trying to get Torfaen council to repair the pelican crossing on Edlogan Way (Croesyceiliog) as its actual red-marked crossing area is so badly eroded that it is a trip hazard for children and adults alike. Indeed, it is questionable whether it would pass a health and safety check as it has been so badly maintained.

So why, after I have made numerous telephone calls to Torfaen council, has nothing been done? (I was promised a return call, but did not get one).

My only conclusion is that Torfaen Council just don’t really care about the welfare or safety of children using the crossing when they go to school (they have already removed our lollipop lady) – nor do they take any notice of concerns raised by a parent.

Seems Torfaen is running true to form,I am aware of a case involving council
tax where a couple with serious health problems are receiving a different
council tax demand virtually every month since march 2013 I have advised
them to contact Torfaen CEO and Clr Wellington leader of the authority, I am not holding my breath.
