I've never really cared that much about it to write to a newspaper if I'm honest.

I actually agree with Mrs Mitchell, the sheer volume of menus put through my door on a monthly basis is staggering, I personally think there should be a limit on the amount of menus a takeaway is allowed to stuff through your letterbox in a year.

This might seem odd, but I have actually saved all the menus for a period of a year just to see how many I actually get and have had a black bin liner FULL of the **** things. This in my opinion is too many.

The post office is just as bad they get a fee for posting junk mail to us, to my mind they should be getting our permission to do that. If I posted rubbish through their post office letter box, I feel sure they would be annoyed about it. Ideally we would all collect these pizza ads and whatever and post them right back in the post boxes or post offices. In fact I urge all to do just that, they would soon stop it, if they get legal then at least we then can use the same approach to stop them positing to us, don't get mad get even. Alternatively send the a bill, for rubbish removal and/or tell them every ad they put through our letter boxes will incur a 60p fee the price of a stamp. We could all be raking it in after a few months....

To stop Royal Mail delivering junk mail, email your name and address to: optout@royalmail.com
. The rest of the junk mail is delivered by other means - don't forget to recycle it!
