I HOPE the protesters at the peace camp enjoyed the beautiful Tredegar Park and the facilities laid on for them. It would be wonderful if they, Nato representatives and Celtic Manor had a whip-round to reinstate the water feature at the park.
The council did not have the wherewithal to do it in time for the glorious summer we have just had and possibly will not do it in the foreseeable future, due to budget cuts. What is a better demonstration of peace, security and democracy than children splashing about in their local park?
