So, Scotland has voted against independence and Britain is to remain ‘united’.
The damage from this referendum has been done.
Already promised is even more devolution of powers which will result in an unprecedented expansion of bureaucratic costs to satisfy egotistic separatists who have no appreciation whatsoever of the benefits of unity.
What was the old maxim – “together we stand divided we fall”.
Such funding, so quickly found, would have been more effectively directed to support our under resourced and demotivated core services – health, education, police and fire and rescue services in their broadest terms, not on extra tiers of government where the quality and standard of those handling such devolved powers is not good enough.
