AS an ex-pat Caerleon ‘fly’, I can only hope that should the college close the site isn’t turned into a ghetto of low cost council accommodation. However, I fear that the lacklustre ‘geniuses’ on Newport City Council are already drafting up some plans. Come on, Mr Matthews, it needs an entrepreneur eye to save the day.
There is one positive though - the buses won’t have to make the detour through the college, so it’ll be quicker to get into Newport. Um, I’m not so sure that really is a positive after all.
