CONTRARY to my appraisal of being an in-patient.Unfortunately, from my discharge on 28th November 28 this turned out to be a total catastrophe.
Leaving the ward at 10am to enter the departure lounge for an ambulance to take me home, I remained waiting until 4pm, being told repeatedly they were being diverted elsewhere.
Luckily for me, a friend arrived at 4.15pm and offered me a lift home for which I was most grateful. We often read about ambulance inefficiency, but one tries to remain impartial. However, this experience has left me thinking.
