I WAS in Newport centre this morning doing some banking and I was behind a taxi. The taxi had stopped to collect some passengers outside the entrance to the market. The driver drove off towards the roundabout, but as the lights were red, he came to a stop. He then slung a large amount of rubbish from the driver’s window.
I beeped my horn to no avail as he proceeded to throw more out. I took a photo of the licence plate, taxi logo and the driver and have reported this matter.
I am shocked at the utter lack of respect for our local environment, our community and our fellow citizens who would have to wade through this person’s mess just to go about their everyday business.
