ONCE again the arrogant Football Association of England has decided, regardless of the wishes of the Football Association of Wales, to commandeer the name Team GB and send a football team to the next Olympic Games.
This is despite well founded fears that the FAW and Scottish and Northern Irish Football Associations could be destroyed by enemies in international football opposed to to their existence.
The Football Association of England promised that the so-called Great Britain Team at the London Olympics would be a one-off. So much for their word and promises.
If the Football Association of England wants to send a team to the next Olympics, let them call it England.
Let’s scrap all of Team GB in all sports. Let’s have a Welsh national team at the Olympics in all sports.
