AS MY bus stop is opposite Newport railway station, I often walk through Market Arcade to the market.The shopkeepers are so friendly, but what a state the arcade is in.There are pigeons and the premises really need upgrading.
Surely it would be worth re vamping this arcade. Friars Walk is well on its way and will be modern,but what about individual shops? There is so much potential as more people would use this thoroughfare and also take more trade into the market.
One of the shops in the arcade,called Magpie is well stocked and well presented.
Take a good look Newport.
