THURSDAY night, I watched what was supposed to be a political debate between the two major political parties. There was only one winner: Jeremy Paxman. The prime minister came across as trying to evade the questions, and finally admitting he couldn’t live on a zero hours contract, so how does expect most of the working population to do so?Ed Milliband came across fairly well, but he didn’t give away much on policy. Why didn’t they do the question and answer with the audience like they do on Question Time. What a waste of time and opportunity, it’s just left more people than ever confused.
No wonder politics is in a mess and people no longer trust politicians.
