I REFER to the letter in the South Wales Argus on June 5 from Lindsay Whittle, Plaid Cymru, regarding old rolling stock which could be passed on to Wales from London which I find is really unacceptable.
Has Lindsay Whittle ever caught the train to London from Cardiff or Newport stations?
This train has been in service since 1976 and will probably still be in service in 2016.
This will amount to 40 years of service.
Also, at peak times, you are lucky to get a seat on this overcrowded 39-year-old train.
