I WRITE this letter about the way English media reported the win against Belgium in Cardiff last Friday; a win against a team ranked second in a world full of top quality players.
All Wales got was a page in the sports pull-out on Saturday morning. Some papers had the report on pages 4 and 5, but come Monday morning after England’s lucky 3-2 win over the mighty Slovenia, it was page after page after page.
My guess is that the English media likes to think that England are the only home nation that can play football and, deep down, are waiting for Wales to fall apart in the last four games of the Euro 2016 qualifying campaign. Well, I’ve got news for the English media, we will qualify and we will see you in France next year.
