IN RESPONSE to Catherine Fookes letter of August 12 headlined “So heartless”. No decent person desires to be “heartless” with the thousands of migrants at Calais attempting to enter the UK. With people like Catherine Fookes and Yvette Cooper (Labour MP),who would welcome everybody into our small island – have they ever thought of who is actually entering our country? It appears that the migrants are destroying their passports deliberately so that the authorities cannot send them back to their country of origin. More seriously, with the evil group Isis threatening Britain because of our intervention with fighter planes, it will be quite feasible that some of those migrants could be Isis terrorists infiltrating the UK. Even the French are laughing at us because we don’t have identity cards. Yes, we are not “heartless” but neither are we stupid and a soft touch.
