LOOKING across the country and the ITV news reports on A-level day.
It’s wonderful to watch young people celebrate their hard work , enjoying seeing their efforts come to fruition.
Yet in the midst of it all stands a politician, grinning like a Cheshire cat: “Look, didn’t I do well?!”
What an obscenity. This is their day, it belongs solely to them, their families and to those who taught them.
You have done nothing to contribute to their success, so take your political pollution and return it where it belongs.
Why can’t those who achieve be allowed to soak in the atmosphere and excitement of this life-changing moment? Without having to share it with a publicity grabbing opportunist, someone they have probably never heard off, or have seen before.
