GEORGE Osborne’s claim that the Google tax settlement is a ‘major success’ is nothing but a national scandal. This company – which has £5.6 billion UK revenues each year – now only has to pay £130 million tax for the last 10 years shows double standards.
When you think Newport Council is sacking street cleaners and park wardens to save a small amount of money, something is clearly wrong.
