AS A NEWSPAPER that is always balanced and just, I would like to reply to a letter from Hedley McCarthy, the ex Labour leader of Blaenau Gwent Council. Headed ‘no credibility’.
I am flabbergasted that he can be a union member and still try unjustly to stop a fellow worker gaining his rightful redundancy and pension payments, especially when it was a council policy to cut the number of upper level management rather than make workers from the frontline services redundant.
As for any truth in any of this rantings, all he and his colleagues tried to spin about me was thrown out by the Wales Ombudsmen service quoting “No case to answer.”
I have the papers to prove this.
I think Mr McCarthy should look to his laurels and try to get his own credibility back with his local Labour group.
