JONATHAN Williams. I have read your diatribe. Congratulations on your service in the armed forces.
You obviously have experience of war and separatism. Then why are you, of all people, willing to take even the smallest risk of breaking up the organisation which has ensured European peace for 70 years?
I have to assume you are in favour of separation as you never gave an opinion or reason and I am sure the readers would be interested to know them.
Incidentally I never said “everyone” who favours leaving the EU is a fascist or a xenophobe. That is your interpretation.
But, they are definitely on the side of separation. Why do they always want to destroy rather than build?
I hope I am wrong in my predictions for a broken EU. But if you examine the history of conflicts in countries before they joined the EU and compare it with the peace after joining the EU the case is clear. If you want to guarantee European peace for your children, or their children, stay in the EU.
