Vote of thanks

RE: A THANK you to residents in Newport East
I wanted to write to thank everyone who voted for me in the recent Welsh Assembly elections. It was an honour to be re-elected to serve the communities of Newport East. I am committed to working to represent everyone in the constituency, whether you voted for me or not.
I’m incredibly grateful to the people of Newport East for putting their trust in me and in Welsh Labour. 
It’s heartening to know that there is strong support for the Labour values of social justice with equality of opportunity and outcome.
Newport is a city on the rise, and we need to continue to do all we can to maximise our great potential. 
I look forward to working with a range of partners – including Newport City Council, Welsh government, and my fantastic new colleague in Newport West, Jayne Bryant, to ensure the best deal for our city. 
We need to safeguard and build our economy and give a helping hand to our hard-pressed families and communities.
