I AGREE with most of the Editor’s Chair article, but are not he and his journalistic colleagues across the British media, in their questioning of our political “leaders”, at all levels, guilty of capitulating to the political publicity machine? 
Asking questions only associated to their headline campaigning, not asking hard enough “and what happens then” or is capitulation the only way to get interviews? 
The Argus has each day articles of what our council officers and politicians are doing. What worries me is they always seem pleased or happy. Are you sure asking the questions your readers would like to ask?
