IN relation to Ian Craig’s article on public artwork (November 9). When the statue of Sir Charles Morgan was removed from High Street, it did not remain in storage for 132 years. I believe it was erected in Park Square until it was put in its current position in Bridge Street (see page 198 The History of the Borough of Newport by Haydn Davis).
