IN ANSWER to Mr Paul Flynn’s stance on our involvement in the Middle East.
I think it a bit rich that he; as a member of the Labour party; supports a policy to retain and renew our nuclear deterrent which is capable of wiping out far more lives that any war that has gone before.
The latest estimates available will show that this defence system will cost £100 billion, over the next 40 years when it will need to be updated again.
I make these points to show the inconsistencies that abound in politics generally.
Whilst we are dependent on oil and the threat of global conflict exists, it is a price we have to endure so I say to Mr Flynn, unless you can think of a solution, change the record!
