BREXIT Tory government will cause financial damage to the Welsh farming industry. With 40% of Welsh lamb exported to Europe, any tariffs would affect farmer’s income. Any trade deals with New Zealand would result in their cheap lamb flooding the country. Once our sheep farmers are out of business New Zealand lamb would soon go up in price. Any trade deal with the USA could see the UK importing genetically modified Texan beef, so our beef industry would also suffer.
These changes will not affect gentleman farmers like Andrew RT Davies, a strong leaver.
