IN HIS latest copy-cat letter (8.2.17), Jim Dyer expects me to offer my “useful” ideas to refurbish Newport’s Market Arcade - without any mention of recompense!
Newport city Labour council’s planners, full time officers and councillors are well-paid to improve, maintain and restore our city to it’s former glory!
A good few years ago in private industry, I was well-paid for my ideas and suggestions for improvement, so if Newport city council needs ideas, I can be reasonable for a small fee!
Referring to my letter (6.2.17), Jim Dyer critically mentions “he covered about three topics” but the letter-critic Jim must have overlooked the fourth “topic”of Newport Labour Council’s disastrous pedestrianised Commercial Street also mentioned in my letter.
Perhaps he was involved in the original flawed scheme as a full-time officer at it’s inception and did not wish to raise the matter!
As a Newport native and council-tax contributor I hope to raise more, in my opinion, necessary “topics” for the benefit of Newport city and citizens regardless of Jim Dyer’s intolerant and sarcastic comments.
