IT’S commendable that the pupils of Blenheim Road Community School, Cwmbran, are through the “size of Wales” charity, working to demonstrate the importance of rainforests and taking action against climate change. This is a positive, empowering initiative which should be rolled out to all the primary schools in Wales as a matter of urgency. Perhaps the Prince of Wales, who is funded from the public purse, could donate a copy of his and Tony Jupiter’s new ladybird book on climate change to every school as an introduction to the subject?
Such progressive teaching of course would not be welcomed by everyone, especially climate change deniers UKIP.
Don’t they recommend the banning of such education from schools?Like President Donald Trump they extol the virtues of burning fossil fuels, fracking etc despite all the scientific evidence stating how detrimental this is to our very existence as a species on the planet.
