IT’S all very well for the Secretary General of NATO asking us to send more troops to Afghanistan I have to express my concern once more we are being asked to provide troops to assist in peace keeping?
Well this is almost a carbon copy of Iraq.
We as part of the Coalition and the USA have spent fortunes assisting Afghanistan and other nations.
When it all looks good the local Governments decide they can take over security and we are no longer required.
So we shut down in this case Camp Bastion and ship the military back less training teams.
The local army and police are incapable of defending their own country and we have to reinforce them putting our own soldiers at risk once again.
By the way this Government and those before were hell bent on cutting Armed Forces now we are short of those very navy ratings, soldiers and airmen that this nation depends on!
Oh and I’m sure we will once again rue the day our Government will give in to supplying more troops for another lost cause.
