I WOULD like to thank everyone who took the time to vote for me and my fellow Plaid candidates.
Councillor David Poole’s recent smug remark on gaining control of Caerphilly council, saying Plaid Cymru looked to the past.
We will see the same smugness from Theresa May when she wins the general election.
When you look at the results Councillor Poole got 19% of the electorate and my local Labour councillor got 22% of the electorate.
So when people say voting wouldn’t make a difference, the voting figures say otherwise.
Even though my fellow and myself Plaid candidates didn’t get elected, I am proud we ran a positive campaign for the future of Bargoed.
Our campaign was based on changing the road layout through Bargoed and moving the bus stop.
Increasing the number of loading and disable bays and getting two hours free parking in every car parks in Bargoed and other towns.
By calling the general election by Mrs May saved the Labour party from more embarrassment.
