SATURDAY night saw those who hold the line called upon to do the deeds that mere mortals shy away from and all in eights minutes.

From the two Black Dauphins landing on London Bridge with the ‘Special People’, the British Transport Police Firearms Officers who were at the rail station, the ARVs who flooded out from North and South Base and whose D13 medics saved at least four, the city of London Police Firearms Group who ran back to work, kitted up and joined the fray, the TSG Carrier Officers who deployed in public order kit when one of the attackers was thought to be nearby and no firearms officers were available, the London Ambulance Service HART teams saving casualties from the start, the Met Divisional Police Officers taking on the attackers with batons and the British Transport Police Inspector who used his body as cover for a young girl as two attackers tried to kill her, and to everyone else that ran towards the incident and sought to help and protect the victims of this atrocity.

Well done and thank you. Heroes one and all.
