I HAVE been looking through the supplement commemorating 125 years of the Argus and there are two errors in the section where you highlight some sporting champions. 

Firstly the image is of David fighting Neville Meade, not Nevill Wall and secondly in the other picture you have elevated David from British to world heavyweight champion!

Also why do you never mention Newport’s European heavyweight champion Dick Richardson. 

He was a generation older than David and fought in an era when there were several very good British heavyweights notably Henry Cooper plus Brian London and Joe Erskine.

Unfortunately Cooper became dominant for several years so Dick never won the British title.
