ON MONDAY evening at St Peter’s Church, Aberbargoed Ladies’ Choir presented ‘a selection of music for a summer’s evening’.
As always, the choir was conducted by Hetty Watkins, who has now been at the helm for over twenty years. The accompanist was Beth Dean, and the guest soloist was Isobel Adams (viola).
Undoubtedly the highlight of the evening was when Isobel’s father David Adams (leader of the orchestra of the Welsh National Opera of Wales) accompanied his young daughter in a duet for violin and viola.
Thanks to all who contributed towards a truly superb concert, a donation from the proceeds of which will be made to the Motor Neurone Disease Association.
