AGE Cymru is currently looking into Welsh local authorities’ responses to older people who may need help with their care.
Welsh councils have a duty to assess the care needs of any adult where it appears that they may have a need for care and support and, if care is required, set up a plan to address those needs.
We would therefore be very interested to hear about the experiences of older adults, or carers of older adults, who have approached their councils about receiving such help, whether this is by telephone or in person.
Any information we receive will be anonymised, so readers needn’t be concerned that their names or locations will be made known to any others.
If any of your readers feel they could assist with this research they can call Chris Williams on 02920 431548.
